Agriculture College in Uttarakhand continuing the saga of learning beyond classes, students of Quantum Global Campus, BSc. Agriculture visited Patanjali, Haridwar on 28.3.2017. Total of 46 students from BSc Agriculture 1st and and 2nd Year visited the site where they got a comprehensive and holistic learning of Live stock maintenance, Organic manuring, Disinfectant preparation, Water treatment plant, Biogas production and other facets.
Komal Yadav of BSc Agri 2016 Batch expressed her views saying, “It was a very wonderful experience after stepping into Patanjali Unit. It has set very basic steps in agriculture where the farmers are much benefited. Around 290 livestock’s are maintained. Their wastes are converted into useful products like disinfectants, biogas etc., Vermicomposting is prepared and its also been sold for the natural growth of crops and plants. The scientist gave us a session on recent developments in agriculture at Patanjali which was an eye opener for us.” The students got complete guidance of their faculties viz. Dr.N.Murugalatha, Mr. Vijaykumar Arya, Mr. Naveen Bahuguna, Dr. Anoop Badoni, Mr. Vinay Chamouli who accompanied them throughout the tour.
Another student Prajwal Chaowdhary expressed his views saying, “We would like to be taken to such institution where our knowledge in the field of Agriculture will be broadened.”
